Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich defended his sanctuary policies by saying ICE needs a judicial warrant to keep an illegal alien detained.
Immigration experts objected to this claim, and ICE pointed out the Immigration and Nationality Act gives ICE supervisors the authority to issue arrest warrants.
Montgomery County is a notable sanctuary county in the U.S. that has arrested five different illegal aliens on rape charges in the past month alone.
