King County, Washington, in which Seattle is the county seat, has severed its connection with LInX, an important law enforcement information sharing system that enables investigators to search for data across jurisdictional boundaries. This federal system helps them to prevent, stop and solve crimes.

The reason for this move is to make sure that ICE can't access personal data on illegal aliens residing in King County.
