Sleepy Joe Biden has some problems, either mental, verbal, mentally verbal, or he’s just a pandering grabass. He recently told a supporter that he graduated college with 280,000 dollars in debt. Then increased that number by 20k. One teeny, tiny, itty-bitty problem: Biden graduated long, long, long before college debt could ever be that high.

In today's dollars, this is totally possible.  Especially when one considers that, according to the article, Sloe claimed to come out of college with a lot of debt, not that he came out of college with a lot of student debt, and the fact that he went to law school as well as undergrad, which the author completely ignores in his "fact check".

If Biden's tuition was $2K a year and he was in college 8 years (undergrad and grad school, probably an over-estimation but I'm being "nice"), it would have cost him around $16K. If he did not pay a dime during that time but put it all on a student loan (Were FISLs around in the early 1960s? Apparently not, unsurprisingly) in 2017 dollars that $16K would be under $125K. So even inflation doesn't get Biden off the hook. Biden just threw out crazy numbers assuming no one would realize the numbers were plucked out of his rectum.

Too many gaffes to keep track of - any chance of a separate sub-board to make it easier? I think 2 or 3 terabytes of storage would get us through the rest of the year, as long as we limit posts to text-only...

Tuition is only a part of expenses (currently at Univ of DE a bit less than half for in-state).  Also, grad school is more expensive than under-grad, particularly when, like Sloe, you're out of state.  Based on the Univ of DE website, in today's dollars  4 years under-grad instate plus 4 years (under-grad) out of state would run close to $300K.
