Syrian regime threatens to 'eliminate' surrounded Turkish observation post in Hama

Bouthaina Shaaban, a senior adviser to Bashar al-Assad, said that the Syrian army would 'eliminate' a Turkish observation post surrounded by regime troops on Friday.

A senior figure in the Assad regime on Friday threatened to 'eliminate' a Turkish observation post in the village of Morek in northern Hama province.

The threat came after a regime advance on Friday which captured a string of villages in northern Hama. The villages had previously been strongholds of anti-Assad rebels.
