Jill Biden acknowledged a policy-driven split in the Democratic primary electorate, but urged New Hampshire voters to put their differences aside in order to oust President Trump from the White House.
"I know that not all of you are committed to my husband, and I respect that, but I want you to think about your candidate, his or her electability, and who's going to win this race," she said Monday in support of Joe Biden, the race's front-runner according to a slew of early polls.
The community college professor, 68, who has been married to the former vice president for 42 years, encouraged New Hampshire Democrats to look at the surveys, arguing that public opinion research is hard to "dismiss" if "they're consistently saying the same thing."
"Your candidate might be better on, I don't know, healthcare than Joe is, but you've got to look at who's going to win this election, and maybe you have to swallow a little bit and say, 'Ok, I personally like so and so better, but your bottom line has to be that we have to beat Trump,'" she said.
