Mexico on Sunday threatened to take legal action against the United States for failing to protect its citizens after this weekend's mass shooting in the border city of El Paso.

Of the 20 people gunned down at a Walmart at the Cielo Vista Mall, at least seven were Mexican citizens, and Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard promised Mexico City will act.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry called the attack in El Paso a "terrorist act against innocent Mexicans."

Mexican government vows legal action against US in response to El Paso mass shooting

    The Mexican government on Sunday threatened legal action against the United States for its response to Saturday's mass shooting at Walmart in El Paso, Texas that left 20 people dead, including six Mexican nationals.

Mexico's Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard made the announcement in a video posted to Twitter, in which he expressed indignation for the mass shooting at the Cielo Vista Mall.

"The president of the Republic has instructed me so that this posture and indignation from Mexico is translated, first in protecting affected families, and then in legal actions, efficient and prompt, quick and convincing so that Mexico can demand the conditions to protect to the Mexican-American community and Mexicans in the United States," Ebrard said.

Good. Then maybe we can sue Mexico for sending so much criminal basura/trash across the border. Drug cartel killers have killed Americans on American soil. The Mexican gov. has allowed quite a few criminals to cross into the U.S.
I'd say a good tradeoff would be to allow U.S. drones to hunt down cartel gang members and dispatch them.
There would be howls from many Mexicans who despise the gringoes and still remember the Mexican War and the Pershing expedition. Screw 'em.

There was a story in the news recently about some American guy and his daughter murdered by probably gang members on a highway in Mexico.
The guy was driving to a western Mexican city when three cars pulled out of a hiding place and started chasing his car. He eventually crashed, and the criminals killed him and his daughter.
 I can't recall any incidents like that happening to Mexicans in the U.S. Mostly, Mexican nationals killing Americans through murder or traffic accidents are the only incidents I read about in the news concerning Mexicans in the U.S.

It shows Mexicans don't lack for nerve. They've got one of the most corrupt, crime-soaked countries in the western hemisphere, which they are unable to clean up, and they whine about a few Mexican nationals killed in the U.S.
 Meanwhile, hundreds of Mexicans are slaughtered in Mexico every day while the officials take bribes from the cartels to do nothing.

Mexico's known and acknowledged murder rate is triple that of the US. How complete their data is and whether they're acknowledging everything they know ... Mexico should clean up Mexico before yapping about the US.
