@rangerrebew "James B. McDougal (August 25, 1940 – March 8, 1998)"
I was working in politics when Whitewater happened so I remember some details from that and refreshed my memory by looking up the years the below happened.
McDougal was in federal prison in Fort Worth, Texas. He did have a heart problem before he went to prison. He was cooperative with investigators before he went to prison. The Clintons had no reason to kill him. When I did research today, I read he was not taken to the nearest hospital when he had heart arrest. I expect they did CPR continually and took him to a hospital known for heart procedures.
Case in point:
One night I went to our mailbox and had Prissy in my arms. Walking back to the house, I fell, the left side of my face slammed down on a big rock. It was a loud sound and I did not move, thinking my skull might be broken. A man walking on the sidewalk called 911. Skip to the part when the ambulance got there. I told the EMTs to take me to the near hospital (no more than 3 miles away). One said, "No, we are taking you to the medical center hospital because they are a trauma center and can deal with skull/brain injuries." That hospital was about 10 miles away. They kept doing vital signs on me until we got to the hospital. I heard one of them telling the emergency doctor what happened. I was immediately taken for x-rays and MRI of my skull. The point is, on my own, I would have gone to the wrong hospital. Likely the same thing happened to McDougal - they took him to a hospital known to have specialized heart procedures.
McDougal was 58 yrs. old when he died and he said he would die in prison due to his heart condition. His wife, Susan, was 15 years younger than he. She also was in prison - nothing strange happened to her.
It is interesting to go back in time and read what happened those years ago. I have just started reading this and will continue until I have read it all.
