In short: they wheeled in mueller to be questioned by a House committee on "his" report, he proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is properly titled the "weismann Report."

Mueller did seem, in the last hour that I did see, like he hadn't even read the report, let alone wrote it.

I don't know about that,but I DO know he knew about Strzok and why he was fired,and he also HAS to know that he was fired by the FBI and brought up on criminal charges. There is not a chance a high level DC insider like him doesn't know about that?

Yet he kept trying to act like he didn't recognize the name or really know who he was.

Thus far, Bob Mueller has outdone himself stretching beyond the four corners of his report to answer any and all questions that could hurt the president while sticking to a blanket “outside my purview” on any and all questions that might help the president. Bias?

Mueller tells House panel Trump asked staff to falsify records

Special Counsel Robert Mueller confirmed in testimony before the House Judiciary Committee Wednesday that President Trump directed staffers to falsify records connected to Mueller’s investigation.

Asked by Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-La.) whether it was “fair to say” Trump “tried to protect himself by asking staff to falsify records relevant to an ongoing investigation,” Mueller responded “I would say that's generally a summary.”


Richmond then asked, in giving the order, Trump intended to “hamper the investigation.” In response, Mueller referred Richmond back to his office’s report.

The Louisiana congressman went on to specifically ask Mueller about Trump’s attempts to get then-White House Counsel Don McGahn to create a written record falsely asserting Trump had not directed him to fire Mueller, which McGahn refused.

Richmond asked if the attempts “were related to President Trump's concerns about your obstruction of justice inquiry,” to which Mueller responded “I believe that to be true.”

"So it's accurate to say the president knew that he was asking [Don McGahn] to deny facts that McGahn 'had repeatedly said were accurate.' Isn't that right?" Richmond asked Mueller, with the special counsel responding in the affirmative.

Much as I hate to say it, this morning’s hearing was a disaster. Far from breathing life into his damning report, the tired Robert Mueller sucked the life out of it. The effort to save democracy and the rule of law from this lawless president has been set back, not advanced.

It's now clear Mueller did this as a favor to his old pal Comey, who steered it through Strzok, Page, Clinesmith and Weissmann, along with their pals at CNN, WaPo and NYT. This was institutional protection and corruption.

The more this hearing goes on, the more it becomes painfully clear that not only did Bob Mueller not write his own report—he was barely involved or in control of it at all.
