Most Americans Didn't Care Enough to Watch the Democratic Debates, Poll Finds
By Tyler O'Neil July 11, 2019

Two weeks ago, 20 candidates for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination took part in two four-hour debates. The vast majority of Americans didn't care enough to watch them live, and only 10 percent of Americans watched them from start to finish, according to a new poll from the Job Creators Network and ScottRasmussen.com.

The poll, which surveyed 1,066 U.S. adults July 1-2, asked Americans, "Last week, the Democratic presidential candidates took part in two debates that each lasted two hours. How much of the debates did you watch live?"

I don't believe the conclusion most people didn't care to watch isn't exactly true.  I know, for example, the questions are going to be nothing but softballs from liberal media, if they have a poor answer the media will try to help them correct the mistakes, the questions will be highly negative toward republicans, they are unlikely to touch on real issues and controversies.  In other words, the "debates" are nothing but glorified photo ops with nothing substantive to come out of them.  Why should people waste their time on them? :pondering:

Besides, how exciting would it be to watch a debate where the theme is, “we are going to import the world’s poor and you Americans are going to pay for them.”
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

What Democrat debates?
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

-Ayn Rand-

I'm sure they are very relieved to hear this.
