@Victoria33, the man has stated two important things not in your summary:
* He did not tell her to go back to where she came from; apparently she has since admitted she does not know what he actually said; so
she falsely accused him of being a racist;
* There were two regular check-out stations open that were not checking out customers; if verified by security camera footage, the woman's excuse was also a lie; in light of her false accusation of racism, I'm inclined to believe the man on that point unless video proves all check-out stations were, in fact, busy.
Further, she walked up and down however many aisles it took to accumulate many more than the ten item limit, which suggests to me that her "need" was probably more like convenience.
Ironically, the man is of Cuban heritage - Hispanic - and hates Trump, so whatever he did do, it was in no way motivated by Trump, which was her point.
