Frankly, I have added Boston University to my list of those institutions producing idiots. AOC is too stupid to comprehend how she is killing the very party she is a member of.
Pelosi has a problem with this upstart. What can she do really? Her hands are a bit tied. There is no dealing with genuinely dumb people. If she truly slaps the four of them down, she is a racist. If she lets them run about spewing their garbage, they utterly kill the Dems.
For folks like me, I see it ONLY as a no win situation for the Dems. How delicious.
I think they should rename the party to Box of Rocks Party, for they are every bit as dumb as. Take the Green New Deal that all the Dems jumped on as a brilliant idea. And all or almost all those running on the Dems side jumped aboard to support the insanity. An intelligent person would think that AOC is possibility an operative of the GOP to sink the Dems, because the GND could not be more idiotic!
Again, the Dems embarrass America every waking day.
I see it differently.
While the Dems have often in the past embraced their extremists to make the serious Leftists among them seem more "middle of the road", that phase of the Communist takeover of the democratic Party is nearly complete. In fact, Hillary's loss stymied their neat slide into full blown Socialism, and her shenanigans and dirty tricks were a serious factor in Bernie losing.
The conclusion is that The New Left of the 1970s has nearly displaced the old guard of the Democratic Party, and is pushing for the final takeover of the Party, to impose their totalitarian government on Americans. THe only quibble is whether the end product will bend its knee to Marx or Mohammed. In that, the tolerance crap the Dems have been spewing will come to a head, and one group or the other will be culled.
My bet is on the Communists, who really are more ruthless at heart, but the Mohammedans have 1400 years of practice under their belt and aren't trapped by nonsense about "tolerance." They are about as "racist" as any group can get.
Unfortunately, when a culture becomes unmoored from the anchors of set principles, sooner or later anything can be rationalized. The grossly unfortunate part of this is that the Republican Party, which looks Conservative by comparison, has also let slip its springlines and is equally adrift, following the current that will put us all on the rocks if it doesn't get back to the Constitutional principles which guarantee the Liberty and Rights of all.
I don't see that happening with the current culture in D.C.
The same programs of swarming the border (Cloward Piven personified) in wave after wave of invaders, encouraged by the Dems and Global Socialists (recall, if you will, the Communists want to take over the world, too), spending money we just don't have on things the Federal Government has no Constitutional business spending money on, and the general diminution of our Rights continue, just under a different brand name. Coke/Pepsi/RC Cola, it all leaves pretty much the same taste. A 'win' won't be one unless Republicans can clean the swamp critters from their ranks as well.
Those Americans who know enough about how the country is supposed to work are pissed off, but we're talking people who grew up without 'safe zones', mollycoddling, helicopter parents, and counselors on every corner encouraging medication instead of the slings and arrows of puberty and adult life. That is a group whose ranks grow thinner by the day.
