Ilhan Omar calls Trump's 'blatantly racist' attack on minority lawmakers 'the agenda of white nationalists'
By Justin Wise - 07/15/19 05:59 PM EDT

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn) on Monday said President Trump's attacks on female minority lawmakers Sunday were "blatantly racist" and comparable to "the agenda of white nationalists."

"This is a president who has overseen the most corrupt administration in our history," Omar said in a press conference alongside fellow progressive Reps. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.).

"To distract from that, he’s launching a blatantly racist attack on four duly elected members of the United States House of Representatives, all of whom are women of color," she added. "This is the agenda of white nationalists, whether it is happening in chat rooms or it’s happening on national TV. And now it’s reached the White House garden."

The only person injecting race into this is Omar.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

Trump a racist?

No, I don't think so.
Nothing he's done as POTUS or before has shown me that side of him.

What he does is fight back when being attacked.
He doesn't care if the person who attacked him is white, black, straight, gay, male, female, democrat, republican, Jewish, Muslim, Christian, atheist, agonist, short, fat, skinny, or tall.

For my own way of thinking, not everything he has responded to was something that he should have, but there are definitely times that it is appropriate and necessary.
He can't let lies, or, in most cases, good news being under-reported, go without saying something about it to correct the record.
I am 100% fine with that.

A racist?
No.
An equal opportunity defender/offender?
Sure

BTW, we are not protected from being offended in the Bill of Rights, which is the way it should be.
It's our choice to be offended, that's the power we give others.
It's not on the offender.
