Vice President Mike Pence’s plane was called amid an unspecified emergency, according to reports on July 2. However, a spokesman for the vice president told the Boston Globe that there was no emergency.

His planned New Hampshire event was canceled, Fox News reported.

Vice President Mike Pence's New Hampshire event on Tuesday has been abruptly canceled as he has been called back to the White House.

Pence had been scheduled to land at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport around 11:30 a.m., which is right about the time the news broke that his event had been called off.

A spokesperson for the vice president originally said Air Force 2 was turned around due to an "emergency" but a spokesperson for the organizers of the New Hampshire event has since clarified that it was a "diversion" and not an emergency.

Tom Clancy novel.... as laid out, let's not forget this is just speculation but it's some plot and somewhat plausible. Helping Putin? I don't know about that but something to do with this sure seems plausible.  IMHO.

I also read that we are not going to be told about the reasons for the emergency for weeks!

Debka, per my view, they are not credible, are usually wrong.... but I post this, people can reflect on this. I seriously doubt this. I thought Debka is Israeli, has "inside sources", I think they are usually so wrong.... I'd not search out their info on a regular basis.

Something did happen and I have searched other websites to look for info.  Then, I saw on CNN a report from their White House reporter and she said yes, something happened, Pence was called back, and the White House is not telling us what has happened.

It's a curiosity.  Normally VP is "a warm bucket of spit," except for breaking tie votes in the Senate.  Senate is in recess, so what other Constitutional duties are being called upon?

I see reports of a Russian sub fire, and Pence/Putin plans being scuttled due possibly to this.  The hush hush - ness of this is concerning.

Sometime later yesterday, Pence's secretary said he was called to the White House before his plane left the ground.  She also said it was not an emergency.  I think that is bovine scatology as the White House isn't saying why he was called to the White House and cancelled his trip to New Hampshire and all the people were gathered in New Hampshire - I saw a short film of all the New Hampshire people leaving the place where they were gathered, waiting for Pence.

For some reason, Pence cancelled his trip in the time period where the people were already gathered waiting for him.  While Iowa holds the nation’s first presidential nominating contest, New Hampshire holds the nation’s first primary election.  You don't tick off New Hampshire by not showing up unless it is absolutely necessary.

I am up early today, 4:30 am, and I still can't find why he was called to the White House.  I will keep looking.

Good luck. It will leak out eventually,but the one thing we know is they didn't cancel the trip because they didn't want him speaking to NH voters. Giving speeches in public in front of friendly crowds is like sex to politicians.

The only reason that *I* can think of for them to stay silent about this is they were tipped off about a threat,and they are busy tracking it down and trying to arrest everyone involved before they make public how much they know.

ISIS has plans to attack the White House, etc., during the July 4th festivities.

Why send the one person that is "...a heartbeat away" from the Presidency?
