Buttigieg staffer apologizes to Gaetz for wishing he would be assaulted with urine: ‘That is how reasonable people behave’

Samantha Lillian Elaine Pollara, a Pete Guttigieg campaign staffer, has apologized to Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) for publicly wishing that he would be assaulted with urine.
Gaetz was assaulted with a milkshake last month and Pollara commented on a story about it on social media saying that she hoped next time the congressman was hit with urine, instead of just a milkshake.
“Please, please let it be urine next time,†she wrote. She added crossed finger emojis to her comment.
Gaetz noticed the comment and tried to get Buttigieg’s campaign to take notice of it.
“Hey â¦@PeteButtigieg⩠— this is a reply from a member of your campaign inciting (rather gross) violence against me after someone previously threw a drink on me. Is this what your campaign stands for?†Gaetz tweeted along with a screenshot of Pollara’s urine comment.
