Trump Reportedly Called Off Military Strike On Iranian Targets

By Katherine Biek
June 21, 2019
The New York Times reports the president had approved the military strikes earlier Thursday in response to Iran shooting down a U.S. drone.

President Donald Trump reportedly approved retaliatory military strikes against Iranian targets on Thursday before abruptly pulling his authorization hours later.

Citing a senior administration official, The New York Times said that planes were already in the air and ships were in position when the reversal order came from the president to stand down.

Maybe it's true; maybe not.  It is the NY Slimes, after all, and they have been known to "create" news about Trump. :pondering:

Is Trump a coward/incompetent for 'calling off' the strikes?   That seems to be what all media
is implying.

Adding additional SAM targets that Iran revealed when "everybody" knew we were

Just what I thought too. There is no way to know if this actually happened. NYT could have simply 'made it up' at their desks. Or an informant spy called "senior administration official" could have made it up to get paid. This is a "story" which cannot be verified.

It's always amusing to see how the left act like such warmongers whenever the Republican in office is trying not to go to war.

.

I think the Times piece specified "military" sources. My initial reaction is that it is not a bad move. Keep 'em guessing. And confound the howling moonbats.

There is nothing scarier than waiting for the inevitable hammer to fall.  For all their bragging, boasting, and threatening the Iranian power has got to be wondering where the military might strike so they can get out of the way.  It is also good for the people fighting for freedom in the country because they will know Trump isn't after them, just trying to use up virgins on their leaders. 13859

Er.........Trump confirmed it w/another of his brain dead tweets.
The WSJ was on the money in their editorial that his decision
radiated indecisiveness, weakness and exposed the schizophrenia
of our foreign policy.

His pretty little daughter put her foot down and the CiC relented, IMHO.
No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

Versus the indecisiveness, weakness and the schizophrenia
of the foreign policy of the last admin except for the C-130 full of Benjamin's sent to Iran to buy the SAMs that shot down our drone.  Natch!
