House watchdogs say ‘hundreds’ of caravan migrants with criminal histories headed to southern border
Nate Madden · June 20, 2019

“Hundreds” of criminal migrants are currently headed toward America’s southern border, according to data obtained by elected government watchdogs.

In a Thursday letter obtained by Blaze Media, Republicans on the House Oversight and Reform Committee told acting Department of Homeland Security chief Kevin McAleenan that “data provided to the Committee shows that hundreds of migrants approaching the southern border have criminal histories.”

The letter — which was signed by Reps. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, Mark Meadows, R-N.C., Chip Roy, R-Texas, and others — goes on to detail that documents provided by the department to the committee have shown that previous migrant caravans did indeed contain dangerous criminals, but that the criminal threat is also true of incoming columns.

“In October 2018, CBP’s Office of Intelligence tracked one caravan estimated to include nearly 8,000 individuals that arrived south of California in December 2018,” it reads. “ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) established that 660 of these individuals had U.S. criminal convictions — nearly 40 were convicted of assault or aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Three individuals were convicted of murder.”

The message goes on to say that in January, immigration authorities “tracked a caravan that departed Honduras with more than 3,300 individuals” and that “ICE HSI identified 860 individuals with U.S. criminal histories, including over 20 convicted of assault or aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, nearly 30 convicted of sexual offenses, two convicted of violence against law enforcement, and one convicted of attempted murder.”

AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

No problem.  The Mexican government promised to secure America's border.

I am looking for my post about HOW limited military is at the border when they go.

PENTAGON is looking into loosening the rules.

Our MILITARY CANNOT ENGAGE THE ILLEGALS.  MEXICO HAS SENT 6,000 of their troops to their border to stop the invasion, per president TRUMPS deal with Mexico!  Using their military, who are NOT restricted, like our military is!  Our military, can't shoot them. They can't fight with them.

All they are, are body's, at the border. What good are they?  SINCE WHEN ARE ILLEGALS COURTEOUS ABOUT BREAKING DOWN FENCES..or throwing rocks, projectiles at our border patrol & military?   Border Patrol has to use rubber bullets..too. IT IS OUR LAWS!
 PRESIDENT IS FOLLOWING OUR LAWS.

The laws we have put in by DEMON-RATS...who won't change them..is the problem. MILITARY CANNOT ENGAGE WITH 'MIGRANTS'.
MY PRESIDENT DIDN'T MAKE THESE OLD, STUPID LAWS,  but he is abiding by them. CONGRESS has to change the laws.

The Pentagon is preparing to approve a loosening of rules that bar troops from interacting with migrants entering the United States, expanding the military’s involvement in President Donald Trump’s operation along the southern border.

Senior Defense Department officials have recommended that acting defense secretary Patrick Shanahan approve a new request from the Department of Homeland Security to provide military lawyers, cooks and drivers to assist with handling a surge of migrants along the southern border.

The move would require authorizing waivers for more than 300 troops to a long-standing policy prohibiting military personnel from coming into contact with migrants.

The Pentagon has approved only one previous request to waive the policy since the beginning of Trump’s recent border buildup, in order to provide migrants with emergency medical care if required.

There are about 2,900 active-duty and 2,000 National Guard troops along the border.

Blame the demon-rats, who put these laws in our system. JFK, LBJ, TEDDY, CLINTON.  1965, 1996.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

WE...DON'T.....HAVE.....THE...LAW......THAT .....PROTECTS.....US....FROM....ILLEGAL INVASION!

1965 LAW...then 1996 LAW....changes to IMMIGRATION....
-------------------------------------------------
The United States will immediately expand the implementation of the existing Migrant Protection Protocols across its entire Southern Border. This means that those crossing the U.S. Southern Border to seek asylum will be rapidly returned to Mexico where they may await the adjudication of their asylum claims.
In response, Mexico will authorize the entrance of all of those individuals for humanitarian reasons, in compliance with its international obligations, while they await the adjudication of their asylum claims. Mexico will also offer jobs, healthcare and education according to its principles.
The United States commits to work to accelerate the adjudication of asylum claims and to conclude removal proceedings as expeditiously as possible.

And not the current President who promised to fix it, but did nothing for 2 years while the GOP held majorities in both houses of Congress.
