Whoopi Goldberg Bleeped During Rant on Trump’s Normandy Visit: D-Day Soldiers ‘Didn’t Have Bone Spur

Thursday on ABC’s “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg was briefly “bleeped” during her comments on President Donald Trump’s visit abroad.

Co-host Joy Behar said it was “rich” to watch Trump’s conduct at the anniversary of D-Day in Normandy.

Goldberg said, “I don’t want to talk about him there because it irritates the (bleeped) out of me.”

After Goldberg’s audio was restored, she continued, “All those people who went and gave their lives – they didn’t have bone spurs, they went. People went to fight the ugly that was happening. They went and did it. That’s all I’m going to say.”

D-Day soldiers may or may not have had bone spurs .  One thing for certain is they did not need "safe spaces" to shield them from "mean comments" from classmates, co-workers and others.  They moved forward and answered the call of duty and made great sacrifices.

Not sure there were too many ways to avoid the draft back then.   Dad told a story about a friend of his who lost an eye as a child and wore an artificial eye.  When this man was summoned to report, he tried to get out of service due to his "disability."  The recruiter pointed to this man's eyes -- "one eye, two eyes.  You're in."  No deferment for him.
