Politeness goes a long way on the internet. So for heaven’s sake, don’t write things like this: “no offence, but your code is horrible and doesn’t show any logic†or “This is very poor object oriented design.†On the popular Q&A website Stack Exchange, people who ask questions are more likely to accept answers that are politely phrased, according to an article in the June 2019 issue of MIS Quarterly by Shun-Yang Lee of the University of Connecticut, Huaxia Rui of the University of Rochester, and Andrew Whinston of the University of Texas at Austin. (Abstract here.)“The more impolite an answer is, the less likely it will be chosen as the best answer,†they write. One big exception is if the impolite answerer is perceived as a true expert. In that case, they find, “the question asker will find the impoliteness to be less of a concern or even as a signal of authority.â€...https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-05-21/mom-was-right-politeness-pays
Mods - I wasn't sure where this should go. Please move it as you see fit.
Heh heh heh...
What if I were to be rude and quote your post, @corbe ?Might it cause troubles?
Maybe. My ban hammer is put away in its case in my safe so go for it.
My politeness combined with my lack of desire for a TimeOut keeps me from asking @LegalAmerican if she loses any sleep at night knowing that Hannity is next up to have Trump's baby. Fortunately she has me on Ignore so won't see this.
Hannity is going to have Trump's baby?Wow! Artificial Dissemination is everywhere...
I can't help but notice that lately when a Mod admonishes me in thread the Trumpers all pile on. I feel so lonely at times.
It's probably just me, I've been on EDGE since my ol lady joined that 'sex strike' I feel bad for Jacking Sanguines Thread.
Oh, my. You should feel way worse than just bad for posting that!
