At his kickoff campaign rally Saturday, former Vice President Joe Biden will say he wants the the Democratic Party to run on uniting the country.

"Some say Democrats don't want to hear about unity. That they are angry — and the angrier you are, the better. That's what they are saying to have to do to win the Democratic nomination. Well, I don't believe it. I believe Democrats want to unify this nation. That's what we've always been about. Unity," according to the prepared text of his remarks.

"If the American people want a president to add to our division, to lead with a clenched fist, closed hand and a hard heart, to demonize the opponents and spew hatred — they don't need me. They already have a president who does just that. I am running to offer our country — Democrats, Republicans, and independents — a different path," his speech states.

Biden is currently the front-runner of the more than 20 candidates running for the Democratic nomination. Biden has a double-digit lead in most polls over the rest of the crowded field by an average of 22 points.

Well, he's right.  They want everyone to "unify" around their vision for the country.  And if you oppose their vision of the country, they will call you horrible names and try to beat you into the dirt.

They want the unity of a one-party state.

Ha!  Yep, it sure seems like the dims want to unify.  I guess that's why they have so many socialists among their numbers, right?  Hellary would have done the Green New Deal quicker, faster, more horrific than any of them.  Lying and twisting information is endemic among them.  Just ask Buttgieg, Harris, Warren, O'Rourke, Sanders, et al.

Biden is acting smart politically.

Get space between himself, and the truly radical leftist horde of candidates.

He should get the dem nomination, and Trump will have his hands full with Biden.

Joe is a pretty slick politician.  You could tie a coffee bean to his butt and have him swim across the Potomac and you would be hard pressed to tell if the bean, or Biden left the bigger slick.

I'm really not sure how promoting resentment between the races is unifying, maybe Joe better go back to the person he stole that idea from and listen a little harder. Then again it is just the kind of lying Bolshevik that would roll off of Slow Joe's tongue.

Actually, they've wanted that for a long time.  The Democrats want one-size-fits-all solutions to all problems dictated by the Federal government, meaning as often as not the Federal judiciary.  They want us to be a unitary nation with the "states" merely being provinces, rather than having any sovereignty of their own, and have since at least the "Progressive" Era, when they managed to spoil the Constitution with the direct election of senators, the income tax and prohibition.

   The similarities are somewhat concerning.  I have studied History and one of the last time these fools organized on a National level it didn't work out so great and instead prolonged a bad experience in our Nations History.
