What Has Caused Crazy Bernie’s Nosedive and Is It Real?

RUSH: Here’s Sue in Carpentersville, Illinois, as we start on the phones today. Great to have you. Hi.

CALLER: Hello, Mr. Limbaugh. Thank you for taking my call.

RUSH: My pleasure. You bet.

CALLER: Now, I’ve got something on a little bit of a lighter side. The Democrats are desperate to get votes through whatever means possible — voter fraud, illegals, the Electoral College, 16 years olds, et cetera — and now Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris are promoting the idea of felons being able to vote, which consists of murderers, pedophiles, rapists, and terrorists. They must believe they will vote Democratic. Are they saying their constituents are murderers, rapists, pedophiles, and terrorists?

RUSH: Well, Kamala Harris has pulled back on that because this caused… I think she’s pulling back. I think she changed her mind on that. But Crazy Bernie hasn’t. Crazy Bernie doubled down on it. Of course they think that! Just like they think illegal aliens are automatically gonna vote Democrat. You think it’s lighthearted. It’s not. It is an ongoing, thorough assumption that the criminal element votes Democrat.

Because the criminal element… (Snort!) The criminal element (some of them) can read. They can all watch TV. And if they pay any attention all, which party is it that wants to let everybody out of prison? Which party is it that starts ripping the criminal justice system as being too mean and too inflexible with the criminal element? It’s the Democrat Party.

So, see, you thought you were making a little funny out there. You thought you were cracking a little joke. The real question is what has caused Crazy Bernie’s nosedive, and is it real? Is this 32-point drop to Plugs…? Is it real, or is it contrary? Is it a one-off that’s not accurate? That’s a huge… That’s a huge… Thirty-two points behind Joe Biden!

Nobody’s ever been behind Joe Biden 32 points, not even Clarence Thomas.

Hillary royally screwed Bern in 2016. Will the DNC do it again in the 2020 campaign?

Thing is you have exactly one high profile Dem candidate that projects himself as a moderate. The few other ones in the race like Gabbard and Ryan are all polling sub-1%. No help there.

Meanwhile, you have a gaggle of ultra-libs whose sum percentages far outpace Biden's. If Bernie can hold one while these others fold, Biden might not be sitting so well.

I think the VP choice may also be a big factor in how the liberal wing's votes ultimately fall.

Add: Not a big fan of national polls in Prez nomination cycle. It's strictly a state-by-state thing, and if you look at that data, Bernie is doing far better.
