Pelosi: Barr committed a crime by lying to lawmakers

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday said Attorney General William Barr committed a crime by lying to lawmakers during his testimony on Capitol Hill.

"What is deadly serious about it is the attorney general of the United States of America was not telling the truth to the Congress of the United States. That's a crime," Pelosi said during a press conference.

Her comments come a day after Barr was grilled by Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee over his handling of special counsel Robert Mueller's report on Russian election interference.

Barr was roundly criticized for his performance during the hearing, which came shortly after reports emerged that Mueller had expressed frustration with Barr's memo summarizing the report's key findings.

I watched her statement. She looks like a cadaver, but a few neurons were firing, enough to prevent brain-freeze and slurs, and using the wrong word. Her hatred of the Republic must have given her the strength to get through the questions.

 The crime wasn’t lying to Congress.  His  real crime, in Pelosi’s mind, is belonging to the wrong party

Nancy in this case is playing on the media's lack of curiosity and willingness to look beyond the surface to get away with calling Barr a liar.

She's using an edited version of Mr. Barr's back and forth with Charlie Crist to make the claim that Barr is "lying".
