Rosenstein submits resignation letter to Trump
By Morgan Chalfant - 04/29/19 05:31 PM EDT

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein submitted his resignation letter to President Trump on Monday, capping roughly two years at the Justice Department.

In a statement, Attorney General William Barr praised Rosenstein for serving the Justice Department "with dedication and distinction" and described Rosenstein's devotion to the department and its employees as "unparalleled."

His last day at the Justice Department will be May 11, according to the letter.

Too late.  The massive cover-up of liberal corruption has been completed; otherwise the Mueller investigation would have continued.

Good
Once Mueller fizzled out into nothing, now Trump can finally govern free.

Govern free?  What exactly does that mean??  The executive branch has certain limitations as do the legislative and judicial branches of government.

Whatever people think of Sessions, Rosenstein, and Wray, they are/were all Trump appointees. Nobody made him do it.
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

You make a good point. Trump has not helped himself with his first round of picks. I think he's a quick learner. Picking Barr for AG looks like it might turn out well. Sessions is the goof who really hurt Trump the most.

You are exactly correct.  Trump appointed them.  I can perhaps understand the appointment of Sessions as I think it was likely a returned favor, but Rosenstein??  That one I still wonder why?  Clearly if he had even did a shred of research he would have realized that he had connections to the Clinton and Bammy administrations.

Barr as AG is yet to be evaluated; so far he seems to be a pretty straight forward person.  My concern is his long, relationship with the Bush family.  He worked under Sr., and contributed to Jeb's election campaign.  Jeb is at best a moderate and leans liberal.

I'm not at all sure that when the history is written Jeff Sessi0ons and Rod Rosenstein won't be heroes.

Fire away if you are so inclined.

Sessions was duped into recusing himself because he went to a party and said hello to a Russian. Sessions is the classic definition of the peter principal.

Rosenstein is a lifelong liberal who gave mule head a free hand and went along with people's lives being destroyed for process crimes.

Neither of these bums are heroes. There was no crime from Trump's side and the criminal behavior from the Rat side was largely ignored by these bums.

Again I say good riddance!

The real heroe may turn out to be the IG, or Barr. We will see.

Anyone who really believes there will be a vast uncovering of a huge conspiracy, leading to multiple arrests and convictions is fooling themselves. All this will amount to is another 2 year long round of innuendo and accusations, leading to nothing. It’s merely an exercise of returning the favor for the past 2 years.

Sadly, I am forced to agree.  I no longer hold out hope for any 'real' justice to occur in this nation.  The football has been snatched away too many times.

yep. It was very 'heroic' to let felons Hillary, Huma, Wasserman, and Hillary's whole criminal gang to walk away without so much as a speeding ticket. Very heroic.

Govern free?  What exactly does that mean??

That means he can finally take a dump with someone coming in to measure and document the event, before they issue a report to Congress about When, Why, Where, it happened. Govern free means he can finally do his job without a vulture sitting above him waiting to 'indict' him for any perceived faux pas.

To date, I would have to agree with you but I personally don't think any of that is over yet.  We'll see.
