Romania Arrests Two Serbians in Major Cocaine Bust

Romanian police arrested two Serbian citizens after finding more than a ton of high-quality cocaine on the Black Sea coast that was clearly intended for transit across the country.

Romania’s Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism, DIICOT, said it had arrested two Serbian citizens and impounded 1,040 kilograms of cocaine worth around 300 million euros in a big anti-drug trafficking operation.
DIICOT said on Tuesday that the investigation began on March 20, when police found a package containing one kilogram of cocaine in the eastern Tulcea County that allegedly fell out of a van registered in Bucharest.
