Irish bishop: “To define a religious group as being more prone to terrorism than any other group is irresponsible”

Mar 25, 2019 11:00 am By Robert Spencer 18 Comments

There have been 34,772 Islamic jihad terror attacks worldwide since 9/11. In that span, how many terror attacks were committed by people citing the Torah as their inspiration or screaming “Jesus is Lord!”? The irresponsible one here is Kevin Doran, who is trying to shame Catholics into thinking it wrong to note that there are Muslims who are “putting our civilization at risk and they pose a threat to us.” Clearly Doran is ignorant of the 1,400-year history of jihad, during which, as is meticulously documented in The History of Jihad From Muhammad to ISIS, Muslims repeatedly put European civilization at risk and posted a threat to Catholics. Does Doran think Islamic doctrine has changed since then? He is in for a rude awakening.

Do Muslim migrants today put our civilization, such as it is these days, at risk and pose a threat to us? Let’s see: Somali Muslim migrant Mohammad Barry in February 2016 stabbed multiple patrons at a restaurant owned by an Israeli Arab Christian; Ahmad Khan Rahami, an Afghan Muslim migrant, in September 2016 set off bombs in New York City and New Jersey; Arcan Cetin, a Turkish Muslim migrant, in September 2016 murdered five people in a mall in Burlington, Washington; Dahir Adan, another Somali Muslim migrant, in October 2016 stabbed mall shoppers in St. Cloud while screaming “Allahu akbar”; and Abdul Razak Artan, yet another Somali Muslim migrant, in November 2016 injured nine people with car and knife attacks at Ohio State University. 72 jihad terrorists have come to the U.S. from the countries listed in Trump’s initial immigration ban.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
Criticizes "faith filled Catholics who spread fear of Muslims"?

It is the Muslims who commit the crimes,
It is the Muslims engaged in jihad,
It is the "peaceful" Muslims who do not make a peep decrying the terrorism,
But it's the Catholics' fault for spreading fear?

Catholic schools used to offer a better education than that, at least an ability to discern cause-effect relationships.

Apparently that is lacking in the current Church heirachy, they blame humans for "climate change" too.
How God must weep at humans' folly! Stand fast! God knows what he is doing!
Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...

That's kinda what I thought. Just because he pontificates it, does that mean it's true?

Or because he equivocates criticism of Muslims by Christians with the numerous atrocities perpetrated in the name of Islam across the world on a daily basis, does that make them equal?

Sounds like another liberal who thinks he's the smartest guy in the room, and the mere sound of his words makes them truth.

As Men are flawed, they infect the institutions the inhabit, including
the Catholic Church; which is going through a very bad era.
* Homosexuality, a voracious  plague destructive of the family unit
and the social order, continues to rage through its Clergy.
* It is problematic whether this jackass Pontiff is even a Catholic.
* And his Irish Donkey obviously has never heard of the Crusades
and the reason they occurred.
Pray for the Church!!!

No Dogs or Irish...

A strong demurral.
The Irish, the first of the Gaels, are hardly responsible for every buffoon in their race;
no more than the Romans for Caligula, the french for Robespierre or Germans for Hitler.
