JUSSIE Smollett told officers he has a drug problem as they arrested him for allegedly staging a "racist and homophobic" street attack to boost his career, according to US reports.

Cops later said the Empire star had bought ecstasy from one of the brothers said to have helped him in the elaborate hoax.

He probably figured... considering the current climate of leftie idiocy against Trump and supporters... that he could get away with it.  All he ended up doing is vindicating MAGA hat wearing Trump supporters and pissing off 'real' victims of supposed hate crimes.   Considering that... the meme being circulated is that America is so great (again) now that a poor black gay guy has to orchestrate his own fake lynching.

Before this happened, I had never heard of him and I bet that is true of a lot of people.  The first impression that many will have of him is that he is a racist liar who was willing to let innocent people go to jail over something that never happened.  This stunt made him much more well known, but not the way he wanted it to.

GLAAD recently posted an update on that page.  They admitted it's a hoax and offered refunds because they should not be raising money on Smollett's name, while keepng the page up for those who just want to support GLAAD.
