Deportation amnesty for UAC families tucked inside spending bill

Quote
Tucked inside the new spending bill is a new deportation amnesty that security experts fear will lead to a new surge of illegal immigrant children smuggled to the border.

The provision in Section 224 of the Homeland Security portion of the bill, creates a loophole in immigration enforcement, giving a safe harbor to illegal immigrants who say they’re willing to take Unaccompanied Alien Children into their homes.

Under the provision, the government is banned from detaining or deporting those illegal immigrants.

“It puts hundreds of thousands of people off limits for deportation,” said Jessica Vaughan, policy studies director at the Center for Immigration Studies.

Trump is gonna sign this.  He'll be the first to tell you he doesn't like it.  Just as much as signing all the other spending bills that funded PP but not a his wall.
He will sign it because Congress overriding his VETO shows his as weak.  Trump can't stand that.

This was the fridayest Thursday I can remember.  Tomorrows gonna be LAF.

Steve Scalise @SteveScalise

I applaud @realDonaldTrump’s decision to sign this funding bill, as well as the steps he's taking to keep America safe. $1.375 billion in funding for 55 miles of badly-needed border wall is a big step, but clearly falls short of what Republicans wanted and what @POTUS requested.

Trump got played, and he lost the 2020 election.

The republic is lost.  Trump was the last hope, but if he is going to kiss the posterior of the Democommies, we have lost our sovereignty.  The swamp wins again.  The swamp no longer needs Mueller, for Trump is doing a fine job of destroying any chance of re-election.

This single act will guarantee HR Clinton's election in 2020.

We are fast tracking our way to be Vennezuela II.

When the Trump base learn what bombs are in this legislation, I would not bet on it.  The American people will get betrayed in the end.  All the tens of millions of illegal invading aliens get to stay in the USA because of this POS legislation.  If you do not think he got played, just wait.  He is a fool.

Yeah, I have to agree.  First he signs this crap.  If the media knows these things he must have known too.  Then he signs the Emergency declaration, and he declared he didn't need to!  I would be checking this guy IQ if I thought he was being played.

One of two things.  He is an idiot, or he is deceiving Americans.  All those speeches about keeping America safe and then he signs a bill that does the exact opposite.  Don't buy it.

AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

Sure he knows. Can he read 1150 pages? No. But he has tons of staff, not to mention the same thing going on in the republican house and senate members. 100 people reading 10 pages each can be gathered up for one helluva informed summary, and that in damn short order - Just like how we used to bust these giant bills down on ToS...

He knows exactly what he is signing.

This bill had so much stuff in it that Conservatives supposedly hate, I'm surprised there is no outrage. Amnesty beyond what we jammed the phone lines over in 2007. Poison pill laws to prevent the wall being built (even with a emergency declaration). Hell, they even increased Planned Parenthood's funding and put in some rider laws to prevent defunding for the foreseeable future.

I guess someone should have read the law before signing it.

So much for the 3 promises last year to 'never sign a bill like this ever again'.

Divvy out ~100 pages each to 10 staffers and give them 3 hours to come back with highlighted areas of concern.

Rush touched on this heinous bill today.... saying the Democrats will be using it as an example of how not even voting for Trump could equate to stopping their leftist agenda.  For all of us that distrusted Trump and his true intentions....  all of that distrust kinda makes sense now.  I guess time will tell whether the distrust was warranted or not.   But it's not looking good.  I think American patriots and conservatives just got the big orange shaft (again), good & plenty.

Exactly right... and not even that... every Republican Senator is doing the same thing. So in the aggregate, there could be an annotated summary report in plain language with commentary and links in a matter of hours.

Folks HAVE TO stop thinking they got buffaloed. They did not. They knew exactly what they were doing, and every single damn one of them that voted for this POS are complicit.

Ship of fools.

No one got baffooned (at least Trump didn't- the voters sure did). And Trump knowingly signed a bill that kills his Wall- even with his national emergency declaration.

It allows just enough for him to 'move some dirt around' (to quote The Art of the Deal) through the next election- but prevents him from accomplishing more than about a billion dollars worth or more than what would allow him to seize any more land or use any more non-allocated resources.

I am certain he knows this too.

Absolutely, he knows it. But it won't stop him from taking a victory lap on it, watch and see.

Never sure has been proven short with Trump every time.  He signs for everything he says he stands against.  Isn't that what they call forked tongue?

deception=serpent  Trump understands snake

On her way to work one morning
Down the path alongside the lake
A tender-hearted woman saw a poor half-frozen snake
His pretty colored skin had been all frosted with the dew
“Oh well,” she cried, “I'll take you in and I'll take care of you”
“Take me in oh tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in oh tender woman,” sighed the snake
She wrapped him up all cozy in a curvature of silk
And then laid him by the fireside with some honey and some milk
Now she hurried home from work that night as soon as she arrived
She found that pretty snake she'd taken in had been revived
“Take me in, oh tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in oh tender woman,” sighed the snake
Now she clutched him to her bosom, “You're so beautiful,” she cried
“But if I hadn't brought you in by now you might have died”
Now she stroked his pretty skin and then she kissed and held him tight
But instead of saying thanks, that snake gave her a vicious bite
“Take me in, oh tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in oh tender woman,” sighed the snake
“I saved you,” cried that woman
“And you've bit me even, why?
You know your bite is poisonous and now I'm going to die”
“Oh shut up, silly woman,” said the reptile with a grin
“You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in
”Take me in, oh tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in oh tender woman,“ sighed the snake

So what are we talking here?  Girls between the ages of 12 and 17?

Sounds to me that the Democrats just legalized sex trafficking.  And there is at least one Trump supporter here who believes the President must enforce it since Congress passed it.

I truly hope Trump orders ICE to ignore this provision.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-
