Pence calls on EU to withdraw from Iran nuclear deal
« on: February 14, 2019, 02:18:49 pm »
WARSAW (Reuters) - U.S. Vice President Mike Pence accused Washington’s European allies on Thursday of trying to break U.S. sanctions against Tehran and called on them to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal.

“Sadly, some of our leading European partners have not been nearly as cooperative. In fact, they have led the effort to create mechanisms to break up our sanctions,” Pence said during a conference on the Middle East organized by the United States in Warsaw.

He has a point. After all, we wouldn’t want to be entangled in a relationship with a ME nation that finances terror, commits human rights abuses against its citizens, and engages in money laundering, in order to maintain business contracts and oil supplies.

Oh, wait....

Iran
Saudi Arabia
Turkey
Syria

4 very repressive nations in that area. Sometimes, governments have to be a little heavy-handed, see Egypt...

Maybe, but one is a duplicitous ally and another is a duplicitous NATO member, with a friendly Iran relationship. With friends like these.....
