Schumer calls for CIA to stage ‘intervention’ with Trump

Chuck Schumer on Wednesday night called for US intelligence chiefs to “stage an intervention” with President Trump just hours after the president called them “naive” in a tweet.

The Democratic Senate minority leader delivered a missive to Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats that said Trump’s frequent disregard for their research puts the country at risk.

Schumer asked that Coats — along with CIA Director Gina Haspel and FBI Director Christopher Wray — set up a meeting with Trump to give him a reality check.

“You cannot allow the President’s ill-advised and unwarranted comments today to stand,” Schumer wrote.

“He is putting you and your colleagues in an untenable position and hurting the national interest in the process. You must find a way to make that clear to him.”

The American public despise the CIA and FBI because they have been consistently corrupt for generations. Hell, there are pics everywhere of the outrageous raid the FBI just did on Roger Stone where a couple hours later a Fed Judge released him without bail. Good luck ginning up support for these idiots Chuck. No one cares.

Considering Obama's DCI was a shake and bake Shahada-type, the underestimation of the Iranian capabilities and ongoing nuclear and delivery system development may be institutionalized by now. Perhaps some of the ranks could use a wee bit of investigation themselves.

Trump needs to appoint a second special consul to investigate corruption at the DOJ/FBI/CIA. Now that
would be an real intervention on behave of the American people.

Has the CIA found Saddam's nukes yet?

Trump is on his own.  The very last group he should trust is the intelligence agencies, many of which have been actively involved in efforts to remove him by any means, short of having him shot.  And I am certain there are those right now conspiring to do just that down the road.

I recall a report of a miles-long caravan of 18-wheelers, picked up on satellite, headed to Syria.  There was also a large passenger jet retrofitted for cargo.  Gee... I wonder what they felt they needed to 'move' that urgently....and why....???

I remember reading General Tommy Franks Biography and he said he sat in his HQ in Kuwait and via drone footage watched a convoy leave one of the known sites...and drive straight through the border gates between Syria and Iraq without stopping.

It was his opinion that a deal had been made between Saddam's government and Assad to move the chemical program before we could get it and that convoy carried what we were looking for.
