When you come to Congress as a 29-year-old newbie and start throwing your weight around by threatening the careers of some of your party colleagues, you shouldn't be surprised if you make enemies of powerful people.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may be a media darling and Twitter sensation, but if she doesn't watch her step, she may end up being a flash in the pan, one-term congressman.

In an odd sort of way, AOC is a marvelous example of the power of our representative republic.

How one person could gain so much nationwide publicity and power from a small group of voters (24,000 in her district?), I submit that could not be achieved in a democracy.

The media aided her rise to national prominence since they wholeheartedly support her evil aims. Funny, in the last few days, she hasn't grabbed any headlines. I'm sure that's temporary while they reprogram her talking points.

AOC is not going anywhere.  Why?  Because in the end, the liberal mentally ill left love her, warts and all.  If she decries one of their own, that is fine, because that person will be replaced by someone further to the radical left.

The Democrat Party has gone communist in all but name.  AOC will remain one of their shinning stars.
