RNC plans to cancel 2020 primaries and coronate Trump as the nominee

When Trump surrendered to Nancy Pelosi Wednesday night by agreeing to postpone his State of the Union address until after the government shutdown is over, he essentially confirmed what we’ve always known about him; he’s an egomaniacal narcissist who possesses no core values or convictions and whose only loyalty is to himself.

Considering his latest average approval ratings — currently a whopping 37 percent due to his ineffective presidency — it would probably be better for Trump to tweet his SOTU and pass on the TV face time he’s addicted to almost as much as Republicans are addicted to spending our money.

As the man Orrin Hatch allegedly called “the greatest [president] in the history of our country,” Trump believes that he’s been an overwhelming success, and the Republican National Committee apparently agrees. So much so that the former party of Reagan is preparing to coronate Trump’s nomination for 2020 and skip the primaries altogether.

And here’s an irony for you. Trump complained about the RNC in 2016, accusing them of using a “rigged” system against him and controlling the distribution of delegates.

I'm not sure they can do that. If he's opposed in any state, he gets a primary in that state anyway. They can game the system and screw the opponents by refusing to seat delegates—but that's par for the course in Washington.
