Steyer to hold DC summit to pressure lawmakers to impeach Trump

Democratic megadonor Tom Steyer's "Need to Impeach" campaign announced Tuesday plans for a two-day summit next week in Washington, D.C., to urge lawmakers to commence impeachment proceedings against President Trump.

The "Need to Impeach Summit and Advocacy Day" will consist of a town hall gathering about the state of the union and a strategy session on how to build a grassroots following, the organization said in a news release.

The event will conclude with participants hand-delivering articles of impeachment to their representatives in an effort to increase pressure on lawmakers to remove Trump from office.

"Leaders across party lines are finally understanding the danger his recklessness and lawlessness pose for our democracy, and now they must hold him accountable," Steyer said in a statement on Tuesday. "Failing to act is unacceptable."

The event is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.

Words fail me...at least ones I can type here.

When I consider the efforts of the Democrats to subvert and ignore the Constitution, not to mention the very real crimes and capital offenses up to and including treason....there aren't enough lamp posts in DC....and not enough rope.

Agreed, first they have to find grounds for impeachment, but IF and when they do, I'm not so sure that Romney and others won't go along.

I would bet that Romney is going to try to ride his current seat iinto the White House. Why else is he there?
