Now Fake News CNN Is Siding With Drug Traffickers Over Border Patrol, ICE, POTUS Trump, Etc…
Posted on January 14, 2019 by DCWhispers

Goodness gracious will someone over at CNN please return some semblance of sanity to that once-proud news organization?

Just today CNN runs a headline story in which they take the side of drug traffickers regarding the now infamous border wall proposal being pushed by the Trump administration. (It should also be noted most of the Democrat Party is taking the side of the Mexican drug cartel as well on this issue) These sly little drug traffickers are declaring that the wall won’t work. (why would they want it to?) Apparently that’s enough for CNN to craft an anti-Trump story and by default a pro-drug cartel story.

Let that sink in. On a day we find out you’re at greater risk of dying from a opioid overdose (much of it coming in from Mexico) than you are from a car accident, the Establishment Media embraces drug dealers and attacks President Trump.

@rangerrebew

I keep CNN on while I am working on computer as they usually get instant news on before Fox.  They had a segment with one of their people at the border, speaking to land owners whose property ends at the border and reporting their opinion of the wall; this reporter went to the Big Bend area, that ends at the border, those mountains are so high no one can cross there.  No fence needed there.

If this writer is using these opinions of the people living there, saying CNN supports drugs coming in because these people don't favor a wall, this article is a hit piece on CNN.

There was another piece about tunnels under existing walls.  That doesn't mean CNN approves of drugs coming in.

I think they're not being truthful, @Victoria33.  For instance in Big Bend, there are long established smuggler trails, and the mountains are not that high.

Quote
Emory Peak, (The highest peak in the park at 7,835 feet.) located in Big Bend National Park, is the highest peak in the Chisos Mountains.[1] and the highest in Brewster County.[1] ...

The peak can be reached by a moderate hike on a well-marked path across steep rocky terrain with an elevation gain of approximately 2,500 feet (760 m).

@Sanguine

I saw the rock mountain cliff at the Rio Grande river and it goes straight up at the river's edge and no one can climb that mountain.  Bob, the geologist, agreed no one can climb that straight up high rock mountain.  At other places on land that go up a mountain gradually, yes someone could walk up a mountain.  The problem here, is, the Texas terrain changes over a thousand miles. There cannot be a single type fence due to the changing terrain.  I heard the ranchers talk where their land goes to the water's edge and they will be cut off from the water when the government uses Eminent Domain and takes their land.

As I've said before, the barrier will change as the land changes.  Some places won't need concrete, and some will.

As for water, that's, IMHO, nonsense.  Where the land is some distance from the river, they use windmills and tanks.  No reason they can't do that closer to the river.  I've actually lived down there.

The Marcella I was aquainted with 25 years ago was married to a Marine and would not have given CNN a second glance. The Victoria she has become since is obviously a very different person that I don't agree with about much if anything..

DC Whispers is one of those sites that interprets the news to fit a particular agenda.  But as @Victoria33 pointed out, nowhere in the CNN report cited by DC Whispers does it specifically indicate any support by CNN for drug traffickers.    Looks to me like CNN is merely reporting what the witnesses at trial said.  Now you can believe those witnesses or don't, but what was said is hardly fake news.
