President Trump Isn't the Enemy, Mr. Romney

Two days before he was sworn in as Utah's junior U.S. senator, Mitt Romney published an op-ed in The Washington Post, publicly broadcasting, once again, his disapproval of President Donald Trump. Disappointing, but not surprising.

Something seems to compel those in the never-Trump crowd not only to perpetually obsess over Trump but also to constantly remind us of their profound distaste for him -- lest it escape our top-of-mind awareness.

A few things popped out at me when I read Romney's piece -- apart from his flagrant hypocrisy in reigniting his public relations campaign against Trump after abandoning it when seeking to be Trump's secretary of state.

I heard this out there, we should be criticizing Democrats, not Republicans.

Seems Mitt's polling indicates that he is calling upon one's character to choose between Donald Trump and say....somebody like him.

He senses that perhaps, Donald Trump is painted into a corner, and MSNBC's #1 ratings indicate that he offers a truly wonderful, virtuous alternative to, cough, cough...

When will Mitt ever learn?   His lack of fight vs. Obama will be exploited.

I did until a number of years ago, and i was a '98er. Now they are just another partisan Republican site.  The mass purge of people who weren't 100% Trump supporters in '16 came later.
