If President Trump is afraid of the headache new House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., is about to give him, he should say the first prayer of his life and thank God it’s her, not him, who has to deal with the incoming House Democrat freshmen.

The Washington Post over the last few days has done magnificent reporting on the political cramps Democrats are suffering before the new Congress is even sworn in.

The paper said Wednesday that Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna of California and Rep-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York were both already set to vote against new House rules drafted by Pelosi. The sticking point is the “PAYGO” rule, which aims to offset any new expenditure bills with either tax increases or cuts to spending elsewhere.

“This is in no way a vote against the leadership; this is a vote against austerity economics that has caused great harm to middle-class and working families," Khanna told the Post.

Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter called PAYGO “a dark political maneuver designed to hamstring progress on healthcare [and other legislation]."

Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill also on Twitter directly contradicted Khanna, insisting that the PAYGO rule is embedded in concrete law and that it cannot be replaced only by a rule change.

The scary thing is, when the rubber hits the road and push comes to shove, I think they will pull together. Perhaps, Republicans should note this, they will band together from experience.

It's kind of a counter-Alinsky but the left likes to get all anarchy, chaos and revolution to get power, iron fisted jackboot when they have it.

However, in situations like this when they have only partial power and the arrogance to match, keeping them chasing their tail and in chaos takes their own tactic and uses it against them.

Chaos doesn't matter to Democrats. Since nothing is expected from Congress, if the Dems get nothing done at all due to internal conflicts, they will be no different than what the Republicans did. That is what has come to be expected from Congress.

The difference is that Republicans tend to not vote or to vote third party when they are fed up with duplicity and inaction. Democrats however, have to vote. Because politics and agenda is not merely politics to them, it is their religion. Democrats always vote like robotic automatons no matter what. They will always vote for the same Dem jerkoffs forever, no matter they do or don't do.

Interesting  2020 scenario:

Trump runs as Independentt. Stating:

In 2016 I tried the GOP, but those losers gave you a crappuy tax cut, no repeal ofObama care, and no wall


In 2018 I got  stuck with Pelosi/Schumer, who proved they care more about illegal immigrants, than about Americans.


He has about 34 percent of very strong support, but he improves on that figure, when compared to the main alternatives.

Dems plus GOP, run their own candidates. They spliit less  than 66%

Under that scenario, the GOP candidate loses for certain. But Trump might well win again.

Virtue Signal me that one, Batman.

Romney and several Republicans, will struggle to get noticed, in the chaos. But they forfeit any positive attention for squandering their majority, with "virtually" nothing.

   That is a very interesting proposition @truth_seeker and I consider it to be a more viable vehicle for his success in 2020 than riding a castrated elephant.  He has considered it before, twice, and failed miserably but as Robert Earl Keen says, These are different times.
