Allen West: Progressive, Socialist Left Woefully Wrong About Having High Ground on Border Security

We have entered 2019 with a partial government shutdown and will have a Democrat House of Representatives majority by weeks end. The new Speaker of the House, once again, will be California Democrat Nancy Pelosi. The lack of resolve by the GOP while they had majorities in the House and Senate on the issue of an integrated border security system has led to this impasse. However, with the new House majority, the Democrats believe that they have the high ground on the issue. They are woefully wrong.

This past Friday, America lost another one of its members of the Thin Blue Line, one of our law enforcement stalwarts, Officer Ronil Singh of the Newman, California police department. Ronil is originally from Fiji, but came to America the right way, through our front door, which opens for those wishing to partake of the American dream … legally. Officer Singh was shot and killed by a suspected criminal illegal immigrant named Gustavo Perez Arriaga. Arriaga has been apprehended, along with seven others, who allegedly aided and abetted his escape and return to Mexico. Two of the seven suspects arrested with Arriaga were also illegal immigrants. Yes, I said illegal, since that is the opposite of legal. Arriaga had two previous arrests for drunk driving, and Officer Singh stopped him on suspicion of drunk driving.
