Jeff Flake Will Introduce Bill To Raise Taxes Before Leaving Senate

By Daily Caller

Michael Bastasch on December 19, 2018

Sen. Jeff Flake will co-introduce carbon tax legislation in his final two weeks in office.

Flake became a prominent anti-Trumper and is now teaming up with Democrats to push climate policies.

Most Republicans and conservative groups oppose carbon taxes.

Flake can't be gone soon enough.

You know, when a former liberal becomes a conservative, it is most often a consequence of maturity and acquired wisdom.

When the opposite happens, it is usually the product of failed ambition.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Revenue measures are Constitutionally required to originate in the House.

Maybe he is in on the carbon trading scam.

That's exactly why old washed-up actors, politicians, and so called 'comedians' almost always become crazy screaming Globalist activists once their careers are over. They know that the entire media will give them face-time to espouse their new nutty 'perspective' (since the American media exists to promote this crap) and it keeps their name out there in the zeitgeist. It is the only way they can remain relevant in any sense of the word. If they became Conservative at the end of their careers, you would never hear from them ever again. And they know that.

Of course they don't really believe what they are preaching. If they did, they wouldn't live in multimillion dollar mansions, ride around in limousines, and fly private jets everywhere they go. They preach for you to 'sacrifice' while they live like medieval Kings.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

I think that is valid observation and I've seen it numerous times.

I think what we see is a lack of Conservative principle--ever--in the person. So many of the Freshmen the TEA party worked to elect shed any pretense of principle even as the ballots were being counted.

There's no change, just the act falls away and their true colors are revealed.

If anyone wonders why the Republicans fail, time and again to make meaningful reversals of the Socialist policies and unconstitutional 'progress' made by those who are not conservative, they need to consider whether their people in Washington really are conservative, or just consummate liars. By their fruits shall ye know them.

Truth.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

That is an astute observation. John Kasich strikes me as another example of the latter.

Is that like the thing where many local judges were too crappy as lawyers to make it in private practice?

Guy? What guy? She is only trying to protect her eggs.
