Having a merry pagan Christmas

By Robert Knight - - Sunday, December 16, 2018

Ross Douthat, a columnist for The New York Times, says the culture war in America may not be so much about secularism or atheism replacing Christianity but the rise of an old Christian foe — paganism.

This ancient religion differs from atheism in that it allows for a spiritual dimension to life and creation, but not an omnipotent, benevolent God. The power is in the creation itself, which is why so many New Age adherents find divinity when they look at a sunset, a flower, or in some cases, their own mirror image.

Mr. Douthat explains the clash of worldviews presented in a new book by Steven D. Smith, “Pagans and Christians in the City: Culture Wars from the Tiber to the Potomac”:

The author is FOS.

New Age is not Heathen, which was not rabidly Anti Christian.

New Age is an idiot contruct of nitwit spiritualists and seance hucksters.

If you need a figurehead for it look to Hitler who co-opted and bastardized the old Heathen beliefs to paint them over into his loony tune Aryan Supremacy dogma.

As for today's witches and such they're nothing more than illiterate kids who got lost in a cheap, mass market, pulp romance, like Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

You should see some of the stuff that gets bandied about among spiritualists. Their Law of Attraction is just as nonsensical—and possibly even more damaging—than any prosperity gospel. Esther Hicks can give Robert Tilton a run for his money on false promises of success in life.

I've met girls who actually believe that they're witches.

Dumber than a fence post the lot of them.
