Too bad McConnell didn't bother to get them on record voting against cloture (i.e. voting to shut the government down).  He had the votes to get it passed.  But he let the Dems off the hook by not forcing a vote.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

There are immigration laws written right into the Constitution, 83 years before 1870.

Hooey.  The national debt and continued federal deficit spending - something Trumpie Bear doesn’t give a damn about - are much more serious issues than whether a few aliens enter illegally.

And no, it’s not a threat to national sovereignty.  Anyone who makes that argument necessarily commits themselves to the view that this country was not a sovereign nation from its founding until about 1870 because that was when the first general federal immigration laws were enacted, and is further committed to the belief that, contrary to the Constitution, and the American revolution, this country did not come into existence as a sovereign nation until the first federal immigration laws were enacted.

Is that seriously what you believe?

Just now I am watching a program the Sinaloa Cartel in Vancouver Washington.  They just raided a house of illegal drug cartel with their voodoo shed where they sacrificed their animals.  Those guys are beauties.

I am tired of our drug pushing politicians.  That is exactly what they are.  They don't want to secure the border then they are drug pushers.  McConnel drug cartel.  Schumer, drug cartel, Pelosi drug cartel.......

Luis Venancio Cueto-Ruiz, a Mexican Cartel drug distributor, met up with an undercover Washington State police officer to a drug and weapon exchange. Luis told the officer he worked for “El Mayo” Zambada, the leader of the Sinaloa drug cartel. He explained that if anything went wrong with the exchange, the cartel would kill him. On December 14th 2016, Luis Venancio Cueto-Ruiz came to exchange the drugs for the weapons with his brother Leonardo Cueto-Ruiz. The men were caught and arrested in an auto repair shop near Everett’s Evergreen Way, in Western Washington. Officials seized twenty-two pounds of illicit drugs from the brothers. Eight pounds of cocaine, ten pounds of meth, and seven pounds of heroin were found at the scene.

The Sinaloa Cartel is involved in exchanging massive amounts of guns, drugs and cash. Many times these exchanges and meetings can become extremely violent. Many murders, including the killing of Jorge A. Leal-Sanchez are connected to the cartel. Officials and investigators kept looking into the leads related to the Sinoala drug cartel. The cartel have been distributing drugs in the Snohomish, King, Whatcom, Yakima and Franklin counties. Since the brothers arrest, officials have seized eight more pounds of cocaine, two pounds of heroin, eighteen pounds of meth, and over 20 guns (some of military class). The cost of the contraband seized totals over three hundred thousand dollars.

Washington state drug bust snags leaders of ring linked to Mexican cartel

EVERETT, Wash. (KOMO) - Five suspected drug traffickers linked to a Mexican cartel were arrested in Washington state following a lengthy investigation, officials said Monday.

Investigators also seized 11 cars, over $88,000 in cash, 13 pounds of heroin, 14 pounds of methamphetamine, 3 pounds of cocaine, approximately 4,000 fentanyl-laced pills, three handguns and an AR-15 assault rifle.

Five days ago.

I think these politicians may be tied to the Cartel.  Why else would the be so against securing our borders?  And just wondering do gun control freaks think these cartels are going to obey gun laws?

Drug pipeline ‘has been shut down:’ Statewide bust nets 29 arrests, guns, drugs

By Stacia Glenn

The News Tribune

Nearly 30 people were arrested during a two-day drug bust across five Washington counties targeting a Mexican drug cartel.

Federal officials said the cartel was bringing heroin, fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine into the state using a California business to launder the money and send it to Mexico.

“The dangerous pills containing fentanyl flowing through this pipeline operated by this Western Washington distribution network has been shut down,” Keith Weis, a Drug Enforcement Administration special agent, said in a statement.

On Wednesday and Thursday, more than 400 law enforcement officers served 51 warrants on more than 50 buildings and 35 vehicles.

Twenty-nine people were arrested, as well as the owner of the California business allegedly laundering money.

Taken into custody were residents from Tacoma, Puyallup, Spanaway, Bonney Lake, Graham, Edgewood, Auburn, Federal Way, Kent, Seattle, Tukwila, Burlington, Everett, Lynwood and Snohomish.

Enforcing Immigration Law Is Cost Effective

Each illegal alien costs nearly $70,000 during their lifetime

By Steven A. Camarota on October 28, 2018

In a prior analysis, we estimated that the average net fiscal cost (taxes paid minus services used) of an illegal immigrant was $65,292 during their lifetime — excluding their U.S.-born children. This came to $65.3 billion per million illegal immigrants. The figures were expressed in 2016 dollars. Adjusted to 2018 dollars, it would be $69,570 per illegal immigrant, or $69.6 billion per million illegal immigrants.

This net figure is based on estimates of the fiscal impact of immigrants by education level developed by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NAS). My analysis takes the education level of illegal immigrants and applies it to the lifetime net fiscal deficit, or fiscal surplus, created by immigrants at each level of education. As we pointed out in the earlier analysis, the cost of a deportation (technically referred as a removal) is much less, averaging only about $6,000 to $11,000 per person.

The reason illegal immigrants are unambiguously a net fiscal drain is that less-educated people, native-born or immigrant, earn on average modest wages and as a result they tend to make modest tax contributions, while needing significant social services. As we pointed out in our prior study, research by the Center for Immigration Studies, the Pew Research Center, the Heritage Foundation, and others have all found that a very large share of illegal immigrants have relatively few years of schooling — most have not completed high school or have only a high school education. The fiscal drain illegal immigrants create is not because they are all lazy and on welfare, nor it simply because they often work off the books and don't pay taxes. Rather they tend to earn wages commensurate with their education levels and, as result, they typically have low incomes on average, though there are individual exceptions. Those with low incomes as a group, regardless of legal status, use more in public services than they pay in taxes. It's why cities and states worry so much about losing their middle- and upper-income tax base. It is middle- and upper-income residents who pay most of the taxes, which does not describe the average illegal immigrant.

A few illegals?  Our cities are sick with Mexico.  They are turning into the same cartel crap hole that Mexico is.  Its been going on for years and no response from our government.  Our cities are lined up with tents full of drug addicts shitting on the streets.  Thanks to no government action.  They are coming in caravans and American taxpayers flip the bill for these people to live among us and deal drugs to our children.

Not important?

Mr. McConnell please secure our borders.  Otherwise you are personally responsible for aiding the Mexican crime business in America.  You are personally responsible for the drug flow coming from Mexico.  You cost taxpayers who have to provide city, state and Federal law enforcement to fight the drug business coming from an unsecured border.  They fill our state and Federal prisons also.  This costs the American people enormously.

You also are personally responsible for forcing Americans to provide for the families of illegal immigrants.  Illegal immigrants enjoy a life in America with better benefits than working Americans get at their jobs.

What is it "Cocaine Mitch"?  What is it that's holding Republican Senators from stopping the flow of illegal immigrants to America?

The average cost of a kid going to public school is around $10,000 a year. That's a $120,000 right there. Then add the cost of law enforcement and using the emergency room for healthcare because they won't be turned away by law and you're talking serious money. One illegal to work on someones winery/ranch/farm that brings their family is very expensive. The employer saddles the rest of the community with the costs so they can get cheap labor. Very crooked. A thief.

Very crooked.  And they don't have 5 billion for a wall?

  • Dems-greatest existential threat to USA republic!
McConnell will do everything in his power to shut the Trump agenda down, he does not need the Dems.

There are many critical issues that require a functional Congress, but we have not had that in 20 years.  The USA is in a clear state of decline, brought on intentionally by the NWO pukes, who have to bring the USA to its knees for their agenda to work. The Bushes, Clinton and Obama have all been successful in moving the NWO agenda forward, but Obama excelled at it.  After all, he wants the USA he and his wife despise destroyed, literally.

The USA is no longer a functional republic, and our democratic principles were compromised by the Obama/Clinton criminal cabal to undermine our elections for president.  All stops were pulled to make HR Clinton president, including the sabotage of Bernie Sanders during the primaries, and yet no criminal indictments.  In fact, the moron Sanders turned around after having his teeth kicked in by Clinton and the DNC and supported the ruthless criminal.

And then the swamp has been fully engaged at stopping Trump.  That is their only agenda, and that includes the principles of the GOP, McConnell and Ryan.  Trump's next two years will be total gridlock.  No question, the worst in our history.  What our government has become is a non-functional entity.

In my humble opinion what the Democommies are engaged in is full sedition and treason, but hey, we do not indict those in power.  We fried the Rosenburgs for something far less than what the Clinton's got away with on Uranium One.  The upper echelon of the FBI was proactively working against a candidate for president, and yet we have had zero indictments.  These maggots are running around condemning our president, who may well be the greatest president in our history considering the adversity he has faced since holding office.

I thank God every day for President Trump.  He is correcting many of the intentional policies that the Obama Admin implemented that were destructive to our nation.

Even on Obama's signature legislation, the ACA legislation, everything about it was a lie.  Not only did America not keep their plan, not keep their doctor, not save the promised $2,500 per year on premiums, the truth is the average person is paying 2x, 3x, and 4x what they were paying in premiums with greatly reduced coverage, and dramatically higher deductibles.  There are more people in America uninsured today than when lying Obama launched this worst piece of legislation in history.

And oh yes, people are dying because of Obamacare.  My best friend's father was one.  For those of you that do not know, you need to know everything there is to know about hospice care, because your family members will die if you don't.  40% of those that enter hospice care have a recovery, but under Obamacare, once in hospice care, the patient is no longer eligible to be treated for the same diagnosis codes if they have a recovery.

I have two close friends that had their own health coverage before Obamacare, and now they are going without care because they cannot afford the premiums.  I am sure we all know such people.

Arguing over the number of senators is a total waste of time.  The Senate will do literally nothing for two years.  NOTHING!  There will be no wall because we have ample liberal wingnut judges that will do anything necessary to halt everything Trump.  Federal judges having the ability to halt the decisions of the president is a serious threat to the security of this nation.  And that Bush appointed POS Roberts will muck up everything he touches.

Even though there is a 5-4 majority for the conservative edge, Roberts is not conservative on key issues, and now they are saying Cavanaugh might be another open minded justice.  Ugggh!  As I have said for years, lawyers have destroyed America.  Now, more than ever they will prevent the restoration of our nation.  We could not be more self destructive as a nation if we tried.
