An extensive Campus Reform investigation found several contradictions between the University of Southern Maine's statement in response to an anti-Brett Kavanaugh pop-up course and email records obtained through a Freedom of Information Act.
The president of the university said at the time that the trip was "hastily arranged" when university employees were discussing the pop-up course at least one week in advance.
The university also claimed that the pop-up course was the result of the actions of a "rogue" former employee when documents show multiple people discussed the pop-up course.
