Hey, it's small progress. Leftists willing to acknowledge something good about a solid conservative Senator, even if it's only the sphere of aesthetics.
As a firm Cruz supporter -- he was my choice and the choice of my state and county in the 2016 caucuses, and I'd gladly vote for him again in 2020 or 2024 -- and long-time bearded man, I agree with the aesthetic judgements grudgingly offered in the article: his shaven face was a negative aesthetic and electoral feature, and the beard actually looks good, good enough that his bearded face is a positive aesthetic (and I hope electoral) feature.
