7 Thanksgiving Traditions Environmentalists Want To Ban

By Daily Caller | November 13, 2018 4:18PM

Andrew Follett on November 24, 2016

Environmentalists have a long history of demanding that anything fun be shut down, so The Daily Caller News Foundation decided to celebrate Thanksgiving by looking at the top seven essential traditions green groups want banned.

After all, Thanksgiving isn’t just a time to be with your family, it’s also a time to throw away traditions in the name of going “green,” according to environmental groups.

So, before you carve the tofu turkey and dig into the organic kale pie, think about these seven Thanksgiving traditions that environmentalists want to get rid of.

Thanksgiving? Forgot all about it. It's Christmas where I am. Christmas lights everywhere. Christmas music in the stores and on the radio. Christmas shows on the the TV, especially on Hallmark channel.

Thanksgiving sort of got skipped this year.

I can't disagree with eliminating football (take heart: spring training is only 91 days away!), but keep your cotton pickin' hands off the rest. (Even if some family Thanksgivings make the ancient Hatfields-McCoys feud resemble an evening of pinochle.)

(So what do I do instead of football? Easy---seven hours worth of old-time radio today and tomorrow, first aired on today's and tomorrow's dates!)

  • That is the problem with everything. They try and make it better without realizing the old is fine.

If the greenies were in charge we'd be living like man did in the 15 hundreds.  Dead by age 35.

Oh come on, which one of us wouldn't want to ban numbers 2 and 3.
