The hand recount in Broward is over for the Senate race. It was a blur it went so fast. Looks like Nelson didn't come close to making up the ground he needs.

Folks on the floor here in Broward seem to agree that the vast majority of ballots here are “no votes” in the Senate race. Bad news for Nelson, who needs to pick up thousands here. Not on track to do that.

Rick Scott just picked up a vote here in Broward. Based on the rest of the ballot, gotta wonder if the voter crossed out the wrong one. No objection from Dems.

We have another contested ballot. Again, the board is calling this for Nelson. GOP objected. Voter appears to have started to fill in Scott, then filled in Nelson. Board counts it for Nelson.

A tale of three ballot bins in Miami-Dade, with an unhappy ending for Bill Nelson. 65 ballots were blank in Senate contest (undervote bin). One had votes for both candidates (overvote bin). And only 4 got sent on to canvassing board with a chance of being added to Nelson total

Okay, for those who are REALLY keeping score. The Miami-Dade machine recount of overvotes and undervotes from vote-by-mail ballots in Miami-Dade yielded 192 new votes for Nelson and 78 for Scott. VBM represented about a third of the 800K+ votes cast in the county.

Buzz at Miami-Dade Elections is the end is relatively near for the Senate recount. We’re mostly seeing blank undervotes, so tallies shouldn’t be changing too much.

Sad that the poor taxpayers of FL are paying for this farce instead of the dnc.

The sitting Governor could not get more than 0.5% more than the Dem, so the State pays.   :shrug:
