Lawyers seek unaired 'Apprentice' footage to sift for racial, ethnic slurs from Trump

Lawyers suing President Trump hope to obtain unaired footage from “The Apprentice†to try and prove that Trump’s decision to end protections from deportation for certain immigrants was racially motivated.
Lawyers for Civil Rights issued subpoenas to MGM Holdings Inc. and Trump Productions LLC demanding any footage shot during the production of the show where Trump “uses racial and/or ethnic slurs†or “makes remarks concerning race, nationality and/or ethnic background,†the Associated Press reports.
The group filed its lawsuit in February, and in August former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman, who appeared on the reality show alongside Trump, released a book where she claimed, without evidence, that there is a tape of the president using the N-word while on set.
