DNC head can't say how Dems plan to pay for universal healthcare: 'I don't think we're there yet'
Washington Times, Nov 13, 2018, Jessica Chasmar

Seema Nanda, CEO of the Democratic National Committee, couldn’t give an answer Tuesday about how Democrats planned to pay for a single-payer health care system many of them campaigned on known as “Medicare for All.”

“I don’t think we’re there yet,” Ms. Nanda told Yahoo Finance at its “All Markets Summit: America’s Financial Future” in Washington.

During the discussion, Ms. Nanda was asked how Democrats planned to pay for the multitrillion-dollar plan that many of them supported ahead of the midterm elections. Dodging a question on whether Democrats planned to raise taxes in order to pay for it, Ms. Nanda pivoted the discussion to “skyrocketing deficits” caused by President Trump.

“I think what we saw with this Republican Party is we saw an irresponsible tax cut and then we saw an immediate pivot that they … planned to go after Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid next,” she said. “It is this president that is causing skyrocketing deficits and now they plan on going after these core programs.”

“So, you know, your answer is I don’t know how we’re going to get there, but these are all big conversations that we need to be engaged in,” she added.

Perhaps they should consult this book called The America We Deserve.. The author’s name escapes me at the moment.
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

“So, that’s why I was saying we have to pass a bill so we can see so that we can show you what it is and what it isn’t,”
Throwing our allegiances to political parties in the long run gave away our liberty.

There is no way to pay for it without instituting a totalitarian government. Just what the socialists want.

There will be no Medicare for All despite the Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez. It’s going to be more and more difficult to pay for the programs we have now plus with interest rates on the rise, financing the debt is going to become more expensive.

The Democrats will use this as an excuse to their voters as to why they can’t deliver them MFA. They will use the “Trump deficits and debt” line to their base as to why its impossible to bring MFA to the land
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

I suspect that if we tried to provide everyone with "free", unlimited health care we'd find that the average demand for health care per human lifetime would exceed the average income per human lifetime.  So if we taxed everyone at 100% (and that didn't cause them to stop working), we still couldn't provide everyone with all they wanted without borrowing (oops, no one to borrow from if we're guaranteed to never be able to repay).  This would mean at some point there would have to be rationing, or whatever Sarah Palin called it.

Medicare for All will be the Democrats version of Repeal and Replace.

That's not true.

They are saying were to get the money.

TAX THE RICH!

TAX CORPORATIONS!

Make them pay their "fair share"...

Never mind it won't work. Working was never part of the plan.
