Sinema's lead over McSally grows to 28K in fight for Arizona Senate seat

Rep. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., further expanded her lead Saturday over Republican opponent Rep. Martha McSally for a seat in the U.S. Senate.

Sinema had established her lead heading into Friday night, with a 9,517-vote advantage over McSally, which expanded to 20,803 votes after roughly 127,000 votes were counted out of Maricopa County -- the state’s most populous county -- that same day. On Saturday evening, Sinema's advantage grew to more than 28,000 votes ahead of McSally, with 49.5 percent of the vote for Sinema and 48.2 percent for McSally, CNN reports.

This recent tally covers 88 percent of the total vote, and individual counties in the state are expected to continue updating their vote counts periodically until the votes are certified.

Sinema and McSally are vying to take the seat being vacated by retiring Republican incumbent Sen. Jeff Flake. The winner will become the first woman to represent Arizona in the Senate.

The big networks remain not-so-surprisingly incurious about these late wins by rat candidates. Bad optics, I suppose.

I'm pretty much losing faith over our electoral process.

Which is precisely the goal of the Left.

Time to throw in the towel on this one.

Arizona is slowly (but inevitably) tipping left towards California...

I know its a sarcastic question, but how do they just "find" ballots after the election is over?  There is only a certain number printed, a certain number cast (used), and the total votes cannot exceed that, unless officials are falsifying records which should be evident if audited by competent officials.  Maybe the FBI, GAO or other swamp infested organizations could help.

There will be battles, battles won and battles lost, in some ways, I don't see what is worse than having Flake and McCain in there really. Perhaps Arizonan Conservatives can regroup, they won't have to elect someone because he was a war hero and so on.  Really, shouldn't be a negative nelly all the time, it was the mid-terms and over all, the GOP didn't do too bad.

Notable to me  is the GOP's silence, regarding their failure to sell their party, their philosophy their policies, and their people.

So true and this has been said time and again about the election in general for all states, the GOP did not send the message... and we heard a bit about that before the election, didn't stress the success of the economy enough. I don't know if that is the exclusive reason. They need to get someone in there and figure it out.  Could have been worse, it was pretty bad all the same. I've seen a few editorial cartoons blowing the troubles off but that was probably before recount fever took hold.

Also, these figures out of AZ could be, no pun intended, flakey.

Perhaps you should consider this is the consequence of having Trump as the mouth piece of the GOP.

His tweets over aid to California while people are dying and their homes are burning wasn't a very brilliant move that he shortly later had to back track on. Stupid stuff like that has long term consequences. He just can't stop himself.

GOP now content to recede, back into their dignified minority.

Bob Dole, John McCain, Milt Rominey, Evan McMuffin, Sassey boy, Flakey boy, Quitter Ryan, etc.

All on big conference call with the Bush brothers.

Sinema expands lead in nail-biter Arizona Senate race
By Lisa Hagen - 11/11/18 07:15 PM EST

Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D) expanded her lead over Rep. Martha McSally (R-Ariz.) in Arizona’s too-close-to-call Senate race, after more ballots from the state’s largest county were released Sunday night.

Sinema has grown her slim lead to 32,640 votes, which is a margin of 1.51 percentage points.

The latest release includes about 36,000 ballots from Maricopa County, the largest county in the state that includes Phoenix, according to Garrett Archer, an analyst for the Arizona secretary of state. There are still about 162,000 votes left to count in Maricopa.

Overall, there are still 211,000 total outstanding ballots in Arizona. While the majority of those will still come from Maricopa, there’s a significant number of uncounted ballots in Pima County, a Democratic-leaning county that includes Tucson, and Pinal County, where McSally easily won on Election Day.

McSally was no conservative prize. She was obviously not the leftest Sinema is. The Republican governor won easily.

That being said, a lot of Californians are moving to AZ. I'm one of them... I would sure hope the ones escaping aren't stupid enough to vote for what they're running from...

Friend,

The votes are still being tallied, but the latest count shows my liberal opponent has gained a slight edge.

There are still more than 300,000 votes left to be counted and I can't slow down now -- Democrats certainly won't.

Right now, my opponent's army of attorneys are gearing up for a legal fight to defeat me and I've got to amplify my efforts to cement my victory.

Please make an urgent contribution today to help me continue to fight and win.

In service,
Martha McSally

Sinema is a flake, just like the POS she will replace.

Let's face it, neither Flake nor MaCain were worth a good BM.  The tradition of voting for idiots continues.
