Dems mark Trump tax returns as key part of agenda

House Democrats want to get their hands on President Trump’s tax returns, and plan to make the issue a key part of their agenda upon taking the majority next year.

A provision in the federal tax code gives the chairmen of the congressional panels with jurisdiction on tax policy the ability to request tax returns from the Treasury Department.

That means the Democratic chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee will have the authority in January to demand Trump’s tax returns.

“What we’re doing here is doing our duty as a legislative branch of government, by checking the potential, possible conflicts of interest in the executive branch of government,” Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.), a senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee, told The Hill on Thursday.

To the democrat-communists, "lower taxes" and "helping the economy" are problems.
To the democrat-communists, the "illegal aliens" are THE SOLUTION, not "a problem".

Thank goodness their agenda doesn't include lower taxes, helping the economy, solving the illegal alien problem or any of those minor issues.

Judging from the last election those are loser issues.  Cutting taxes, presiding over a good economy, and pretending to give a damn about illegals did not re-elect a lot of GOP congressmen, governors, or state legislators.

rats seem to have done quite well on "Trump sucks."  I don't expect a new message.

When your only goal is power, any and all means will be made to justify the end. And when the only tool you care to wield is a subpoena, everything begins to look like evidence.

   It's been my contention all along that this would prove to be Trumps Achilles heel, those damn pesky taxes and his dealing with the payoffs of his ho's.
