"Leadership" in the house will be interesting to watch, since they have such a slender lead.  A lot of Rat House candidates promised to not support Pelosi for Speaker.  She is sure to twist arms to get Speaker, so how many of the freshman Rats will start their House careers by breaking that promise on their very first vote?

My feeble prediction:  She'll twist enough arms and get Speaker, and then she'll overplay her hand as we've never seen before.  Trump wins in 2020, bringing a House majority back.  Meanwhile, gridlock will wet in in the House, and the Senate will pick up the pace on confirmations, including a new AG.

Oh but our great president is stumping for Nancy

In all fairness, Nancy Pelosi deserves to be chosen Speaker of the House by the Democrats. If they give her a hard time, perhaps we will add some Republican votes. She has earned this great honor!

Somehow with Trump loosing is winning.  I wonder what is going to happen to all the people who filled the stadiums cheering the end of illegal immigration?  When they realize that it is stalled for another 2 years and caravan after caravan of illegals make their way to America.  All those people who had hope waking up this morning wondering what kind of miracle Donald has up his sleeve now?

And seeing his congratulatory twitter for Nancy Pelosi this morning it is easy to see why he hires liberals.  As I said the other day I don't vote for liberals but people Trump hires do.  And I wouldn't be surprised if Ivanka and Jared have never changed their party either.

I just was looking at Wikipedia to see if Ivanka ever changed her party.  She is still Independent.  Melania is Republican and there is no political listing for Jared.  Does he vote?

Oh, if you type in Jared Kushner political party it comes up Democrat.

AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

It has gotten to the point in Texas where you are no longer guaranteed to win Statewide races just because you have an "R" next to your name.

You are going to have to campaign and be a good candidate.  If you are, you'll do fine.  If not,  it's going to be real dicey from here on out.

And that goes for a lot of States.  The bottom line is, the GOP needs to up their game, bigly.

O'Rourke had about as much an advantage over an incumbent as is possible to have. Nearly twice the war chest, nonstop worshipful coverage in the media and Jim Carrey.

But Abbott won by 13 points ... so conservatives/republicans ARE alive and well in Texas. ... just not voting for Cruz.   I never thought Cruz's reelection was seriously in doubt and last night I had some doubts.  It might be best for Ted to stay close to home  for a while and rebuild his popularity there.

In Texas, Cruz is an anomaly.  Abbott won reelection by 13 points.  Cruz's campaign was in trouble for months.  It may, in hindsight, come down to the candidate.

Correct.  Ted Cruz is by definition polarizing.   Many Trump loyalists dislike the guy.   Yet he still won against a candidate backed by $70 million in outside money and the adoration of the mainstream media.   Give Cruz credit for a narrow victory - but don't fool yourself into thinking that conservatives are on the wane in Texas.   As Abbott's victory margin shows,  a Republican with less baggage than Cruz still wins easily statewide.

AZ Sen: And Now We Wait....

Don’t get fooled by reports that 99% of precincts are in in AZ. That’s only Election Day votes that have been tallied. There’s a huge tranche of early votes that, ironically, still have not been counted. As much as 1/4 of the total vote. May not know #AZSen for days.

Look at the vote map. It is 90% red, and yet somehow we still lose. There is something not right about that.

The State of Maryland is a Socialist State.  If you look at the county maps, it's the D.C. suburbs and Baltimore City that are blue.  Everything else is red.

The Democrat leadership is all approaching 80 years old, or close to it. They simply can't last very much longer. No one lives forever. Once they start going, it will be like dominos. They are all closing in on 100 years old. How much longer can they keep the insane 'lust for power' thing going? I mean come on really? In the real world outside of politics, 90% of these guys would be in Florida wearing white shoes and golfing all day.

Now that makes sense why AZ hasn't been called.  Lot's of chances for dim fraudulence.

That was a taunt by Trump. He wants Pelosi to be speaker because she's dotty.

I don't recall what was said to be the party breakdown of the early vote and I'm too lazy to look for it.

This just blows my mind. In Iowa early vote is the first thing counted. It shouldn't be left out there to be manipulated like that.

I think this is a bit premature.  We turned a blue wave into a trickle.

Ridiculous.  There never was a threat of a blue wave, just like there wasn’t going to be a red one, after Kavanaugh.  The conditions were never present for either.  It’s like saying you dodged a blizzard every time it snows.
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

As far as what the future holds, that is not for me. I won't be around for it. I am blessed to have lived in my time, before all this weirdness happened. When I was young, I could never understand how old people were at ease with dying. The older I get, the more I understand it.

What is needed is a STATE electoral college. It would stop the big blue cities from dominating a conservative state. Andrew Wilkow floated the idea which I support, but I don't know how it would be implemented.
Principles matter. Words matter.

More like saying you dodged a blizzard when the weather forecasters all predicted snowmageddon - and all we got was 3". The left was predicting a blue wave. It turned out to be a trickle or a puddle, at best.

My local TV weatherman always predicts the worst case scenario. He's the boy who cries wolf. That's what the Democrats and their compliant media have become.

From my reading this morning, there's chicanery afoot in Maricopa county concerning those ballots.  The polls for early voting closed Friday at 5PM, but about 3,000 votes were cast over the weekend.  they remain to be counted, and arguably shouldn't be counted at all.  I also heard on the report (I hope I heard incorrectly) the County Recorder said if the Rats sue, she'll count them.  The Recorder won't even defend.

I've actually seen some Cruz speeches.  And, Abbott speeches.  Cruz is by far the better speaker.  So, that wasn't the issue.
