Even in Nelson gets every single vote still to be counted he'll still be short by 30,000ish.  He's toast.

Glad to see the dinosaur finally gone!!   :seeya:

Weird night. Govs win broadly: Kemp, DeWine, DeSantis, Abbott, Ducey, Sununu, VT and as of now Walker behind by less than a point with the cites all voted out.

The great thing is the moderates in both tribes are quitting or losing and the ones who remain recognize that the other party is pure evil...so any tactics to thwart them are justified.

Come now. There is no need to make fun of Nelson's strange facelift while is down and out.

Seriously?  Of course there is.

That sucks, though he did well for a first timer. He had that All-American quality about him and I wish he'd have gotten it.

James did great for a first-timer.  We've not seen or heard the last of him.

74%  precincts in Wisconsin, now, Evers 49%, Walker 49%... so Walker has pulled even percentage-wise, go Scott!  Still, about 1,200 votes behind.

So far it looks like Reps have flipped MN-8 and PA-14 but no one seems to be counting those.

I am so very relieved that DeSantis will be my new governor and Nelson is finally gone!!  I'm a happy camper tonight and to boot, Ted won Texas.  Sweet victory!!   :patriot:

The GOP lost the House, but not by the margin I had thought.  I wonder what words of wisdom we'll hear from Ryan if any?

Guess Dade and PB didn't turn up as Blue as Broward so it's a discrepancy.   *****rollingeyes*****

County         Scott        Nelson      Rpt.
Miami-Dade 309,779    474,561     100%
Broward      188,967    419,827   99
Palm Beach  235,794    329,074  99

Right or wrong and I think it is wrong to think this way, I think what might be a turnoff to some voters is some people might perceive him indeed, as being "mean" or whatever other negative description like this one can come up with.  Obama appeared nice. I think this is a very superficial way to judge candidates but I think it is what a lot of voters perceive. Beto too, to some appeared like a nice guy.

Well, being nice worked in my neck of the woods for the Democrats.  The young pup Democrat who won the local House seat was and is a real charmer.  The real good guy, a veteran Republican, was perceived as the guy who would take away your health care.  That was the main theme  in most campaign ads -- Democrats will preserve Obamacare, Medicare and Social Security, while Republicans will push Grandma in her wheelchair off a cliff.  In a state with a large senior population and a huge gimmedat crowd,  this theme resonated.  Voters did not look closer at the candidates themselves.  Too busy being charmed by the nice guys with the smiles who said, not to worry -- if you vote for me, I'll take care of you; I will keep you safe from those mean Republicans.  These voters don't know it, but the Democrats will rob them blind to pay for all this "protection."  No idea just what they voted for.

That's my problem here. These shitty news outlets are just going with the Rats taking the House without the actual members taking the House. There is still like an 8 or 10 Rep deficit for the Rats.

MN state house stays red, so they (like FL) will play a big role in redistricting. (Hint: Redistricting immediately took 3 seats from Rs in PA).
