Russia is amassing its naval forces in the Mediterranean ahead of an expected assault by the Assad regime on the last major rebel stronghold in Syria.

At least ten Russian warships and two submarines have been deployed to the eastern Mediterranean in the largest naval build up since Moscow’s intervention in Syria began in 2015, according to Russian media.

The gathering of Russian ships comes as Syrian regime forces turn their attention towards Idlib, a holdout rebel-held province on the border with Turkey.

Is anybody in the GOP condemning this?  No?  Then big applause for the good guys Syria, Iran, and Russia.  Trump has truly brought us peace in our times.  #MAGA

August 28, 2018 is the date of this article. I'm glad you care enough to post however, we can see no invasion ever took place. Hopefully some bloodshed was averted.

And because I'm honest, the primary reason an invasion did not occur is primarily through the actions of Turkey's President Erdogan though an assist from the USA. A delicate situation. There was a great worry of a humanitarian crisis with refugees.

Again, a two month old article.
