2018 World Series--Game Two---Live Thread

David Freese draws a two out walk but the Dodgers strand him immediately. No score, middle of the first. Note: Red Sox starter David Price threw only two changeups in the inning; that was the pitch he used to beat the Astros to win the pennant.

Xander Bogaerts doubles off the Green Monster with one out . . . Ian Kinsler singles him home with two out . . . the Red Sox are on the board, 1-0 . . . Kinsler running on the pitch, Jackie Bradley, Jr. lines a single to left center, Chris Taylor runs it down in the gap and throws out Kinsler trying for third. 1-0, Red Sox after two.

There should be a vented grate on the pitching rubber where a pitcher can put his pitching hand between pitches/plays.

It's 47 degrees.  87 in LA

Two-out walk and a force out at second to follow, the Dodgers still behind, 1-0 after two and a half . . . make note that the Dodger hitters are starting to lay off David Price's changeup . . .

I have a better idea---let the pitchers use the kind of fingerless gloves bowlers use. That'd help them grip their pitches better or at least keep their throwing hands reasonably warm.

Bases loaded, nobody out, the plate ump squeezing the hell out of the strike zone on both sides . . . Matt Kemp scores David Freese with a sacrifice fly with nobody out and the game is tied at one all in the top of the fourth . . .
